District 21 has an immediate need for three Service Committee Chairs: Accessibility, Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC), and Grapevine and La Viña. Position descriptions are available in our District 21 GSR Committee Guidelines.

Serving District 21 enables you to take your 12-step work beyond your individual group. For example, the Secretary ensures that we have a record of what happens at District 21 meetings so GSRs can keep their groups informed. The Accessibility chair helps groups with information and resources to help their AA meetings serve alcoholics with special needs and remain inclusive and welcoming. The CPC chair forms a committee to open channels of communication between AA and professionals who have regular contact with still-suffering alcoholics. The Grapevine and La Viña chair helps to promote AA’s “meetings in print” and keep GSRs informed about new Grapevine literature when it’s available. All chairs are encouraged to form small committees to help share the fun and rewards of service in AA.
