The District Steering Committee serves as a two-way information conduit between the AA
groups in our district and the various levels of the AA General Service pyramid: Oregon Area,
the General Service Conference, and the AA Board of Trustees.
We do this through your group’s General Service Representatives (GSRs).
The District also helps to carry our message to the community outside of AA and to foster unity
and community within AA through the work of our service committees.
These service committees are composed of elected Committee Chairs, who handle the
administrative details of the committee, and volunteers from the AA community.
The decisions on how our District is organized are
made at the District business meetings.
We need your group’s GSRs to be present at those meetings so that
the District can properly represent our membership.
We need you, our community, to volunteer for service
to carry our message and foster unity.
“Does your group have a GSR (General Service Representative)?”
GSR School will be offered 4 times in 2024!
Open to all GSRs, Alt. GSRs, those interested in becoming a GSR or
anyone curious about what a GSR is and what they do!
